The Trumpeter Swan Society Restore - Expand - Protect - Advocate - Involve - Rebuild
October 11-14, 2011 ~ Polson, Montana
The biennial conferences of TTSS provide the only public forum in North America that brings together private citizens and conservation groups, policy makers, swan managers, and researchers to examine the status and needs of Trumpeter Swans in the U.S. and Canada and to work together to make all populations secure. We invite you to attend!
May 17-20, 2012 ~ Michigan
Over 250 registered participants enjoyed four days of guided birding, workshops, seminars, and birder camaraderie during the 2011 Tawas Point Birding Festival. The attendance is a record for the festival, and we expect even more birders to experience the world-class birding on Lake Huron in 2012.
Another record that was broken was the species list for the weekend. A combined total of 174 species were recorded by birders at sights throughout Iosco County, including Tawas Point, Clark's Marsh, Tuttle Marsh, and the old Air Force base. Trumpeter Swans were sighted.
April 14-22, 2012 ~ Yukon Territory
Yukon's premier bird festival, A Celebration of Swans, brings residents and visitors alike out to great swan viewing areas to welcome spring to the north, arriving on the wings of the Trumpeter Swans.
Over this 9-day period visitors flock to open water making the Celebration of Swans the largest birding event in Yukon. Approximately 10% of Yukoners make their way to Marsh Lake each year to see this spring spectacle, and every year visitors from afar discover this great spectacle. Watch the Environment Yukon website for details.
